Diaphragm Pumps for Heavy Sludge & High-Solids Dewatering
When water turns into thick mud, slurry, or sludge, diaphragm pumps are the solution. Unlike centrifugal (trash) pumps, diaphragm pumps use a reciprocating action that allows them to move highly viscous fluids and large solids without clogging—even in the toughest jobsite conditions.
Available in 2″, 3″, and 4″ Honda and Multiquip models, our diaphragm pumps are designed for low-flow, high-solids applications, typically delivering 50–200 GPM depending on size and material consistency. While they move water more slowly than trash pumps, they excel where other pumps fail.
All pump rentals include matching discharge and suction hoses.
Common applications include:
- Slurry and drilling mud removal
- Sewer and wastewater bypass work
- Environmental and remediation projects
- Thick sediment or sludge cleanup
- Low-flow, high-debris dewatering scenarios
Diaphragm pumps are the reliable choice when water is too thick or debris-heavy for standard pumps, ensuring continuous operation without clogging or downtime.
